Avon-The body of Lyman Aikins, 38 year old Avon man who was killed early yesterday on Detroit Rd., following a head on collision of two cars, was being sent today to Bath, N.Y., where funeral services will be in charge of the Fagan Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Pleasant Valley cemetery in Hammonsport, N.Y. Date for services had not been scheduled, according to Reidy-Scanlon Funeral Home, Lorain, which handled local arrangements.
Born Dec. 10, 1925 in Holton, Kans., Mr. Aikins was a veteran of World War II. he was employed as a stations operations planner for United Airlines of Cleveland Hopkins Airport. He lived at 37525 French Creek Rd.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn, parents, Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Aikins, of Seattle, Wash.; one brother, Eugene R. of Oakland, Calif; two sister, Mrs. Charles Lyckholm, of Omaha, Neb. and Mrs. John Morman, of Yakima, Wash.
