We went to see a litter of these great Aussie/Border Collie crosses - he & my husband hit it off immediately - the rest is history. Ty loved to chase rabbits, squirrels, moles, raccoons, skunks - but after getting a hard kick from a cow, decided against helping with cattle. His favorite toy was an 18 pound bowling ball.

Ty almost became a tripod dog. He went through the sickle mower & his leg was hanging on by skin. Our vet made no promises, since he had compound fractures of the leg & foot. But he came through okay, after several cast changes. Our thanks to the vet for our bionic dog. Ty insisted on "worrying" the leg, he was constantly licking and biting at it, long after it healed. He spent quite a bit of time with the dreaded cone on his head.

He loved to bark. We weren't thrilled with it. Ty barked whenever he went for a ride - for the entire ride. Ty did not go for many rides.

He was very friendly with other animals and people. He was good with the cats, crazy about Lucky, and put up with Sugar.

Ty was one of a kind, and I miss him every day.
