Services for Gerald D. Townsend, of Vicksburg but formerly of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 29, at Riverwood Family Funeral Services with burial in Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation is Sunday from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Townsend, 66, died Oct. 26, 2007, at River Regions Medical Center in Vicksburg. He was born on Nov. 2, 1940, to Benjamin W. Townsend and Hazel Allred Townsend.
He was disabled. He was a member of Union Baptist Church. He was devoted to his wife, children, and was a beloved grandfather (Paw Paw) to his six grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors are his wife of 44 years, Jean B. Townsend, of Vicksburg; his daughters, Cindy Lohr Smith and husband Mervin, Regenia Pappas and husband Mikey, and Donna Fauver and husband Terry; his grandchildren, Josh G. Smith and wife Bridget, Lacey Case, Charity Townsend, Jarron Pappas, Ben Pappas and Katelynn Fauver; his great-grandchildren, Kyleigh and Ethan; his sister, Geneva Boyd; and his sister-in-law, Brenda Hutto.
