She was born in Auburn on March 25, 1921, to Lester and Hazel (Witt) Rennecker.
Iris worked for Rieke Corporation for 33 years, retiring in 1977 and was a lifelong member of Norris Chapel United Methodist Church.
She married John C. Ramer on September 11, 1976, in Gobelville, Ind., and he passed away June 2, 1998.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Clayton Sr. and Joan Hursh of Auburn; a daughter, Mary Kay Hursh of Auburn; a sister, Donna Carnahan of Auburn; three grandchildren, Tammy (Michael) Bennett of Auburn, Carrie (Keith) Gillenwater of Fort Wayne and Clayton Hursh Jr. of Auburn; and two great-grandchildren, Lydia Bennett and Daniel Bennett.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; and a brother, Dale Rennecker.
Services are at 2 p.m. Friday, January 11, 2013, at Norris Chapel United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Auburn.
