Lester G. Rennecker, 81, Route 1, Auburn, died Thursday at 8 a.m. in his home. He had been ill for two years.
Mr. Rennecker was a retired farmer. He lived in DeKalb County 72 years. He was born Aug. 27, 1896 in Napoleon, Ohio to the late John A. and Ida (Weaver) Rennecker. He married Hazel Witt, who survives, on Dec. 24, 1918.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John (Iris) Ramer of Route 1, Auburn and Mrs. Marshall (Donna) Carnahan of rural Albion, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. One son preceded him in death.
His funeral will be Saturday. at 2:30 p.m. in Dilgard S, Cline Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Kenneth Spencer, pastor of Norris Chapel Church, where he was a member. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday.
Memorials to the DeKalb Cancer Association are preferred.
