George L Andrews served in the 6th(Under name Lucuis G Andrews) and 12th Ohio Cavalry in the Civil War. He was a member of the Tippecanoe Post of the G.A.R. in Monticello , Indiana. His wife Louisa was a member of the Ladies of the G.A.R. George Washington Andrews, his father, also seved in the 6th Ohio Cavalry, Co.L and was transferred to the Veterans Reserve Corp when his one good eye went bad. George Washington Andrews is buried in Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent, Ohio
