This beautiful little boy, 15 month-old Damien, lovingly known as "Dbug" was a victim of child abuse.
Damien loved to dance in front of a mirror. He loved to run and laugh and play with his basketball and his blanket. He always put a smile on everyone's face.
No doubt little "Dbug" is up in Heaven, laughing, playing and running with the other Angel babies. I hope that he's met my own little girls and they can play together.
This precious baby is incredibly and deeply loved and missed by his Dad, Patrick, Mom Cheryl, his brother, Isiah and his Grandmother, Shirley as well as many other family members and friends. Patrick has a video of Damien that was sent to him by Cheryl that has become a special, treasured memory for him. I have no doubt that Damien sits at his dAd's side with a smile on his face, watching right along. You can see by the photo's that Damien was a happy boy, always happy to get hugs from his Mommy, too!
NO child should ever leave the world in this way. There is a motion to make a law known as "Damien Christopher Lynn's Law". This will be a registry for child abuse and domestic violence bill. Hopefully, lawmakers will do the right thing and bring the problem to the forefront and make it a legal requirement for those convicted of these crimes to register with the state.
The man who took Damien's life had convinced his family that he was a kind, respectful person. It was later learned that he had been suspected of child violence in the past.
