He was a freeeman in 1640 in Salisbury, Essex, Mass., a Captain of the militia, clerk of courts, and deputy to the General Court in '52, '56-7, '60-1, '66 for Salisbury. He married Mary Perkins in May of 1637 in Ipswich.
