Era Mae Dixon Dies Saturday

Mrs. Era Mae Dixon, 71, of 205 South Second, Davis, died June 5 in Pauls Valley General Hospital.

She was born Jan. 20, 1906, in Davis and had lived here all of her life. She was a member of the First Baptist church.

Services were held Monday, June 7, at 2:00 p.m. in the Bahner Funeral Home chapel with Finis Steelman officiating. Interment was in Green Hill cemetery.

Pallbearers were Bobbie Riddle, Joe Bailey Riddle, Willie Warren, Billy Martin, Gordon Pullen, and Harold Oakley.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. William J. Cobb of Arlington, Tex.; one son, Bobby Dixon of Abilene, Tex.; two sisters, Mrs. Ester Altman of Salinas, Calif., and Mrs. Perman Strickland. Sr., of Davis; one brother, Clay Griffin of Ft. Worth, Tex., one step-brother, Claud Cotton of Pauls Valley, and two grandchildren.

Her husband, Bill Dixon, and one son preceded her in death.
