HANNIBAL - Russell L. Cull, 77, of Hannibal, died at 9:49 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, 2006, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, at Fifth Street Baptist Church in Hannibal. Dr. Woodrow Burt will officiate. Burial will be at Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Dec. 11, at the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel in Hannibal and from 1 p.m. until time of services Tuesday at the church.
Russell was born Dec. 15, 1928, in Hannibal to the Rev. Harry Ivan and Orrell E. St. Clair Cull.
He married Margaret L. Dameron on Aug. 28, 1949, in Hannibal. She survives.
Other survivors include one son, Bruce L. Cull and wife, Kim, of Hannibal; and two grandchildren, Zachary Cull and Lacy Cull, both of Hannibal.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Edna Scott; and one brother, Robert Cull.
Russell first worked at the International Shoe Company Rubber Plant. He worked for the Missouri Department of Transportation in Hannibal for 26 years, retiring in 1990 as right of way appraiser.
Russell was an active member of Fifth Street Baptist Church where he served on various committees. He attended schools in Missouri, Texas, Wyoming and Nebraska, graduating from Fairbury, Neb., High School. He attended Hannibal-LaGrange College. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Pallbearers will be Francis Wells, James Baxter, Jerry Akright, Terry Sampson, Jerry Burkett and C.W. Higbee.
