Andrew J. was the son of James Wilson "Jim" Newton and Mary Alice LITTLE Newton. He was the oldest of fourteen children.

He married Rose Louise White on July 24, 1913. They had five children: Wilton (died at age two), James Richard, Howard Furman, Wilma Jean and Eleanor Glynn. Aunt Rose died after thirty-six years of marriage.

He married Lois Aslee Gentry on April 30, 1951. They had three children: Barbara Lois, Mary Alice and Mark Andrew.

Uncle Andrew was a quiet man with a dry sense of humor. He was a man of integrity and honesty. He believed in hard work , but also of fun time. He was the 'old-fashion' gentleman.

I love and miss you, Uncle Andrew. Love and hugs from Bea.
