Union Civil War Officer. He was born in Hamilton County, Ohio. He was the founder of the Village of Wyoming, Ohio. He served as a Colonel with the 75th Ohio Volunteer Infantry Regiment. He was mustered in as a Major, before a promotion to Colonel. He was killed in the Battle of Chancellorsville in 1863. His son, James, was a Lieutenant with the 8th Ohio Cavalry who died of disease in 1864. Find A Grave Memorial# 17906260 is the correct record
