Fuzzy was my sweet kitty of 18 1/2 years. She came to me from a farm and was 8 weeks old. She made me laugh, cheered me up when life broke my heart, and gave me unconditional love and acceptance always. She was such a wonderful companion, and was with me through some of the most difficult times of my life. I know God gave her to me as a gift and as a companion. She was simply my BABY ! She was SO funny. She had a unique personality, and her antics made me laugh all the time.

Fuzzy was in final stages of renal failure. I was taking her to the vet every other week, and asked the vet to tell me when it was time to let her go, I didn't want her to suffer. The day came where she said "it's time". She would have lived another two weeks or so, but her quality of life was not good. I could see it in her eyes that she had enough. I spent one last weekend with her mostly in bed cuddling her, trying to be a comfort to her. On Monday morning, August 12 2002 I drove out to the vet with her in my lap, and we had her favorite toy with us. She died in my arms at the Vet's Office. I held her when the vet gave her the shot, with my tears and face buried in her fur. It was one of the hardest things I've ever gone through, but it was time to let her go, for her sake. There is a hole in my heart now that only Fuzzy could fill.

The vet was so moved by how much I loved her and the care I had given her that she made a $150 donation in Fuzzy's memory to Cornell University School of Veterinary Medicine.

It's been 12 years and I miss her just as much as ever.

~*~ Fuzzy, you were a wonderful companion, sometimes my only friend. You made me smile and laugh when I was hurting so much inside. You always gave me unconditional love. For that I am so grateful. I believe you were a gift from God, He knew I needed you in my life. I love and miss you every day. XOXO.~*~

*~*Thank you Long Ago and Yesterday for sponsoring my Fuzzy's memorial. Your kindness means so much !
