Sam was born on the farm my dad worked on. He was the only kitten born to his mum. He was a chubby little fellow, he was 5 weeks old when I took him away from his mum because he wouldn't have a very good life. His eyes were still closed, had they had been open, he would have run off. I fed him with special cat powdered milk until he was old enough to eat solids.

Sam would never sit on anyone's knee, even when he grew older, because he was part feral. He lived for nearly 15 years. I am glad that we could give Sam a happy home, and he was happy too! Another cat we had at the time called Beattie had kittens (I was there at the birth) Sam would lovingly boss them all about, and in one photo, he is seen bossing Leo, who was one of the kittens, then in another, he slept in a box with his little arm around Leo.

In the end, he was put to sleep at the vets, it was an end of an era. I miss our Sam, but glad we were able to give him a good life.

Thank you for your kindness in leaving a token for Sam.

My dad named him Sam.
My Brother used to call him 'Samuel H Brazendale'.

A massive THANK YOU to Hans for sponsoring Sam! :)
