William ‘Bill’ Elliott

William “Bill” Elliott, 71, Logansport, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2013, in St. Elizabath Hospital, Lafayette.


He was born Feb. 26, 1942, in Monticello.

On Sept. 12, 1992, in Logansport, Bill married Rose Towe Elliott, who survives.

Bill was retired from GenCorp, where he had worked for many years.

He was proud to be a veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy from 1960 to 1964. Bill was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He was a member of Logansport’s Tipton Masonic Lodge No. 33. Bill also loved to fish.

Surviving with his wife are one daughter, Tonya (Chad) Bingaman of Camden; one son, William (Diana) Elliott of Peru; one stepson, Thomas Scruggs of Logansport; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will begin at 5 p.m. Monday in Logansport Eagles Lodge.

Cremation has been entrusted to Fisher Funeral Chapel and Cremation Services.
