OBITUARY
Wayne V. Leffel, 55, Rt. 5, died at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the Grissom AFB Hospital.
Born in Logansport, June 22, 1920, he was the son of Frank and Mary Moore Leffel. He was married April 6, 1940, to Elizabeth Jayne James.
A retired Air Force veteran, following 24 years of service, he served in world War II and the Korean and Vietnam conflicts.
He was president of the Logansport Shrine Club and was a lifetime member of the Shrine's Legion of Honor.
He was also a member of the Mosaic Masonic Lodge, No. 55, Norfolk, Nebraska; the Murat Shrine, Indianapolis; the Scottish Rite, Valley of Indianapolis; the Beulah Chapter, No. 40, the Order of the Eastern Star; the Chapter Council and Commandry of Logansport; the Fraternal Order of Police, the American Legion, the Eagles Lodge and was a lifetime member of the VFW.
Surviving with his wife are two sons, Larry L., Arkansas City, Kansas; and Ronald W., Hill City Kansas; his mother, Mrs. Mary M. Patesel, Rt. 5; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Fisher Funeral Home, with the Rev. Raymond Skelton officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery.
