Mary Catherine was the daughter of Thomas Calvin and Rosannah SHUMPERT Long. She married William Washington Westbrook in 1869, Smith County, Mississippi. They had three children; Silas; Elmma A.; Sarah "Katie" Catherine.After Wm. 'Wash" Westbrook died, about 1881, she married Samual R. Collier and had five more children. Two died as infants. The other three were Myrtle, John and Ruth. Collier had two sons when they married, Lint C. and Eugene H. Collier.
