Joseph Little was born either in Dumfries, Scotland or in South Carolina, USA. From DNA we know he's closely connected with Jonas, John and George Little of Union County, S.C. Joseph had three sons; Joseph Little, Jr. Benjamin and George W. Little, (my 4th great grandfather) and five or six daughters. Joseph's children were born in Union County, S.C.

We believe Joseph's first wife was Anne (maybe Coleman). Between 1784-1804 Anne Little married to Joseph Little were listed as members of the Padgett's Creek Church in Union County, S.C. Anne must have died 1804/1805 for Joseph married second wife in May 1806.

Joseph's 2nd wife was Elizabeth Greer, widow of John Greer. She and Joseph married 12 May 1806.They were members of the "Lower" Fairfield Baptist Church, Cross Keys Road, Union County, S.C. From the minutes of the Church, Joseph and Elizabeth Little were dismissed Dec 25, 1818 by letter. They,
Joseph Jr and George W. moved to Limestone County, Ala. where Joseph died in 1823. In his will he left his estate to the two sons with him.
I have copies of Joseph's Revolutionary War Records that still exit in the S.C. Archives. They show Joseph Little provided goods to the war effort and he also served in Col. Brandon's Regiment.

I'm not sure of the town, so if anyone living near old cemeteries in Limestone County, Ala and is willing to try to find Joseph Little's grave. I'd appreciate it.
Thank you.
