Sue and I were best friends in elementary school. We kept in touch for decades despite the fact that we both moved to multiple cities and states. She passed away from lung cancer less than three and one-half months after her diagnosis. I was privileged to be able to visit her three weeks before her death. She is survived by her husband, four sons, her father, two sisters, and four brothers. She was preceded in death by her mother and her stepmother, Marge Wittren.
Susanne Dawn Moscon, 52, of Arlington, TN, went home to be with her mother in heaven on June 26, 2011. She is survived by her beloved husband, Joe D. Moscon, her four sons, Nicholas, Frederick ("Anthony"), Daniel and Stephen ("Luke"); one step-son, Joe Jr.; one step-daughter, Angelina Marie; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She and Joe had been married for 30 years. He always said, "She had me from hello." Their life was full of adventures, especially when you have a big family. First and foremost though, she was always a mom. She worked in many places in her short 52 years, however, she helped and supported her husband in business ventures most of the time. She was always described as "A free spirit", always having a kind word for anyone that needed it. When asked if she wanted to go for a weekend on a boat after she became sick, she said, "I'm a biker, not a boater." She was the toughest most sensitive person one could ever know. She chose to live as hard as she loved all the time. Everyone that had the privilege to know her and her smile were always blessed to be around her, until her passing. She is one that will definitely be love and missed by all. Whereas none of us want to see anyone in pain, it says, "that your last breath on earth, your next breath will be sitting at the right side of God." In her case I know this to be true. God, grant her peace and serenity. Sue made the decision to be cremated. Her final resting place with be at home in her garden. For that the family is inviting all of our HOG family to ride out to our house to say a final goodbye on Wednesday, July 6, 2011. Chapter members are invited to assemble at Bumpus Whitten to ride as a group to the Moscon's home. We will leave Bumpus promptly at 6:30 p.m. Thanks. The Moscon Family.
