On the Argentine/Chilean border, at a place known as "Aleman Muerto", WWII German sailor, Karl Wilmer, died (4334 meter high Andes location) in his attempt to catch up with his naval ship which had sailed without him from Buenos Aires. He wanted to get to Antofagasta on the Pacific Ocean. He was a sailor that lost the ship to Buenos Aires looked for spending from the ande mountains of take back his ship in the harbor following.But he died in the frostbitten attempt.the Indians think that his ghost couples during the night.
