Born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, William "Bill" Engleman was an accountant for the Mobil Oil Company in Casper, Wyoming, at the time of his death. An employee of Mobil Oil for 25 years, he and his family moved to Casper in 1952. His wife was Anna H. Decker Engleman Sumerwell, he was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps during the Second World War and he was an avid fisherman and hunter.
