Johannes Weyrich Katterman was a veteran of the American Revolution. He lived all his life in the Tulpehocken German settlement in Berks County, Pennsylvania. He was one of the 410 signers against assembly by Berks County inhabitants in 1779. He was the husband of Margaretha Elizabeth Zeller Katterman and the father of John Adam Katterman. He and his family helped to found and support Christ Lutheran Church in Stouchsburg, Berks County, Pennsylvania.
