This obit was basically written by Loretta Sampson. Tasha belonged to Loretta and her husband Don. I know many of you send flowers and notes to Tasha and Don already, now she has her own special page. Loretta couldn't get it in FAG and I was happy to help her. This is what Loretta told me: "See how long it took me to write about her. I felt like if I didn't put her in..... she wouldn't be gone. You surely know how I feel................."

Tasha Sampson-
Born Jan. 1998 ------Died Oct. 7,2006

We saw an ad in the newspaper for Yorkie-Poodles and had wanted a Yorkie, couldn't find one so we got Tasha. She was born up near Cleveland, Ohio. My husband wanted another dog and I love them too. Don had seen the name Natasha on TV, liked it but shortened it to Tasha, that is how she got her name. She was so small my husband would put her in his coat and no one knew she was there..... she was a good dog and learned fast.... We had Tasha 4 yrs when my husband passed away, in fact he had just taken her for a walk.

When I would go somewhere and could not take her, I would say "momma has to go to the store" and she knew what I was talking about. She went and sat down and when I got back home she was right at the door barking to let me know she was waiting for me. Once my husband was gone, I took Tasha everywhere with me. I would not even go somewhere that I couldn't take her. My friend Mary loves dogs too.............. so when ever I had to go somewhere that I couldn't take her, she always stayed with my friend. She even had Tasha 2 weeks when I had to go to the hospital to have knee surgery.

Tasha was a good eater. She liked string beans , carrots and I bought gizzards and boiled them and put them in her can dog food for a treat. She also loved Beggin strips, so I would buy them and at night before we went to bed I would give her ...her treat, which she would wait for at my bedroom door.

I always had a standing appointment to have her groomed every 5 weeks. When she got older she started to get a lot of gray. Well when she would come out of the groomers, I would say " Tasha you need a dye job like mom," the groomer got a kick out of that. I sure loved that girl.

The day before she was put to sleep, she kept throwing up all day and did not eat or drink. The next morning I found her by the back door and she had peed and was laying in it. I cleaned her up and carried her outside to pee and when I carried her back in she sat by me in the living room and I noticed a spot on the rug and when I put my finger in it was blood. she was bleeding from the behind. I called the animal hospital and brought her in and when she came in there she was bleeding so bad from the behind they had to put a towel around her to catch the blood and the smell was just terrible. The doctor came in and said he did not know what was wrong, but would have to take test and she probably would be better off being put to sleep. That was the worst day that I had to let her go. I don't know if I ever want to go through that again with another animal. My life will never be the same now that Tasha and my husband are gone. God Bless you Tasha..... my girl. I will always love you my baby, you are so missed. Glad you and daddy are together and someday I will join you and we will never part.

Tasha died in the Animal Hospital in Austintown, Ohio and is buried at Western Farms which is an animal cemetery in Grafton, Ohio.
