Floyd E. Buck, 84, of Columbus, formerly of Athens, died Wednesday afternoon, April 11, 2007, at St. Ann's Hospital in Westerville.
Born Oct. 2, 1922, in The Garden (Lodi Twp.), he was the son of the late Hubert C. and Maggie Jeffers Buck. A 1942 graduate of Shade High School, he was employed for 20 years at McBee Corp. He had also worked for 20 years at Monarch Graphics in Columbus. He and his family built Buck's Lakes in Lodi Twp. He was a member of Paramuthia Lodge 25 Free Accepted Masons of Athens, and was an avid fisherman. He was a World War II veteran, serving with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theatre and the Phillipines.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Mike Moses; and three brothers, John Buck, Hubert Buck Jr. and Jim Buck.
