DONALD W. CROW
Donald W. Crow, 72 of Atlanta, died Sunday evening, Apr. 28, 1991 at his home.
He was born June 14, 1918 in Nauvoo, Illinois, the son of Ellsworth and Martha Ann (Waggoner) Crow. He was married Oct. 28, 1939, in Macon, to Dorothy B. Jones, who survives of the home. Also surviving are one son and his wife, Randy B. and Vivian Crow of Wentzville, Missouri; four grandchildren, Brenton Crow, Holly Kuester, Tony Thieman and Jessica Thieman; a sister, Dorothy Snyder of Kirksville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gerald Crow and Forrest Crow; four sisters, Winifred Shockey, Maud Crow, Florence Dunnington, and Glendola Ausmus.
Mr. Crow had resided in the Atlanta area since 1919 where he farmed, and also for the past 35 years was owner and operator of Crow's Welding Shop in Atlanta.
He was a member of the La Plata Masonic Lodge and the Macon American Legion Post. He was a veteran of WWII and served in the U.S. Navy in the Amphibious Forces. He was also a member of the Atlanta Christian Church. Funeral services will be held this afternoon, Wednesday, May 1, 1991 at the Elliot Funeral Home in Atlanta. Burial will be in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery, east of Atlanta.
