KENNETH CARTER
---Kenneth LeRoy Carter, 46 [Should have been 45], a resident of Elmer all his life [see note below] with the exception of the last year when he move to Aurora, and was a welder for Industrial Aluminum Company, died Tuesday at a hospital in Aurora.
---He was the son of James Milton and Nora (Carmack) Carter, born August 28, 1919 in Macon County. He was a veteran of World War II.
---He is survived by his wife, Ida May; two brothers, Woodrow of Marceline and Andrew of Fort Madison; two half-brothers; two sons, Randy and Kenny; two daughters, Kay Lynn and Faith Ann; six sisters including Mrs. Ival Allen, Mrs. Pearl Warren, Mrs. Icy Mendenhall of Elmer and Mrs. Sarah McCollum of South Gifford.
---The body will be taken to the church at 12:30 Friday.
---Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 11, at the Elmer Baptist Church. Rev. Douglas Lewis will officiate. Burial in the Elmer Cemetery with military services under the direction of the Goodding Funeral Home of Atlanta.
