David and Lucinda Elizabeth Meharg Honeycutt were married in Coosa County where Lucinda's parents lived. The couple only lived there for a short time before moving to Calera in Shelby Co. where some of David's family lived.

David C. Honeycutt might have enlisted in the civil war in Company B, 13th Alabama Regiment Infantry. See the following link:
