EDWARD ENTERLINE
---A message to one of the Kirksville banks last Saturday stated that the body of an elderly man, believed to be that of Edward Enterline, who disappeared from his home near La Plata about five months ago had been found at Phoenix, Arizona.
---The dead man was apparently without funds the message stated.
---Mr. Enterline was last seen several months ago on the streets of Kirksville, where he had been taken by one of his sons with whom he had been making his home. In bidding his son good bye he remarked that he was going to Texas and a letter to his family postmarked from a town in that state later verified his statement. This was the only word received from him.
---Sam McDavitt and Paul Enterline left Saturday night for Phoenix to identify the body.
---Mr. Enterline leaves a widow, three sons, Ross, Emery and Paul and two daughters, Mrs. Tom Gupton and Mrs. Sam McDavitt, all of La Plata.
---He was a veteran of the Civil War during which he lost an arm in the service. He was about eighty-six years old and owned a large amount of property. The trip to Texas was the first ride he had ever taken on a railroad train.
---The body will arrive over the Santa Fe tonight. Funeral services have not as yet been made.
