George Brammer Dies at Home In LaPlata
---George C. Brammer, 73, of LaPlata died unexpectedly early Saturday morning at his home.
---The son of George W. and Beatrice (Sears) Brammer, he was born May 17, 1894, in LaPlata. On Dec. 27, 1927, in Brookfield, he married Martha Lander who survives.
---He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
---Mr. Brammer was a graduate of LaPlata High and attended Kansas City School of Law. During his earlier years he was employed with Building and Loan in St. Joseph and Joplin. He lived in LaPlata the past 34 years and before his retirement in 1964 he served as postmaster of the LaPlata Post Office.
---Mr. Brammer was a veteran of World War I and was a member of American Legion Post No. 282 of LaPlata.
---Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at two o'clock in the Jackson-Wilson Funeral Home in LaPlata with the Rev. Richard Ceretti, pastor of the Community Presbyterian Church of LaPlata, officiating. Burial will be in LaPlata cemetery with military rites at the graveside.
