FOREST COOK OF ELMER DIES UNEXPECTEDLY
---Forest Cook, 72, rural Elmer, died of an apparent heart attack yesterday while hunting south of Elmer.
---Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Elmer Christian Church conducted by the Rev. Arthur Drake. Burial will be in the Elmer Cemetery. The body is at the Jackson-McCollum Funeral Home at Elmer until 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
---William Forest Cook was born March 26, 1899. He was the son of Rice and Arminta (Mitchell) Cook.
---He was married to Nellie Beatrice Bradley on Oct. 12, 1921 at La Plata.
---He is survived by his wife; two sons, Leon Cook, Bucklin, and Melvin Forest Cook, Kankakee, Ill., one daughter, Mrs. E.J. (Nauvita) Erdly, New Port Richey, Fla.; three grandchildren; one great-grandson; two brothers, Leonard Cook, Salisbury, and Howard Cook, Mediva, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Foster (Mio) Whisenand, Bucklin.
---Mr. Cook was raised near Excelsior Springs and worked as a street car conductor and a carpenter on construction work in Kansas City. Since 1928 he has been a farmer in the Ethel-Elmer community. He was a member of the Elmer Christian Church and a veteran of World War I.
