Patricia Kay "P. Kay" Duncan of Americus died Friday, Dec. 17, 2010, at her home. She was 67.Mrs. Duncan was a teacher.The memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the West Campus of the Emporia Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Mike Sorsen will conduct the service.Mrs. Duncan donated her body to the University of Kansas Medical Center.Memorial contributions to the Lyon County 4-H Horse Program may be sent in care of the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, P.O. Box 175, Emporia, KS 66801.

EMPORIA Dr. Patricia Kay "P. Kay" Duncan passed away from breast cancer on December 17, 2010. P. Kay was born June 17, 1943 in Topeka, Kansas as the daughter of Phillip and Jean (Daneke) Ingersoll. She attended Michigan Valley, KS and Overbrook, KS schools. Her career in education spanned from 1965 to 2006 and ranged from the elementary school level to the university level. P. Kay is survived by her husband, Don; her son, Heath and his wife Rachel of Oak Creek, Wisconsin; her daughter, Amanda Cunningham and her husband Rick of Emporia, Kansas; five grandchildren, Brenna, Garrett, Taylor, Brody, and Chance; her mother, Jean Ingersoll, of Topeka, Kansas; her sister, Sue Anderson and her husband Gaylord of Carbondale, Kansas; and her brother, Kerry Ingersoll and his wife LuAnn of Manhattan, Kansas. P. Kay was preceded in death by her father, Phillip. A memorial service was Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at the Emporia Presbyterian Church, West Campus. P. Kay has bequeathed her body to the Kansas University School of Medicine to help further their training and cancer research. The family has established a memorial fund for the Lyon County 4-H Horse Program and donations can be made through the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home in Emporia, Kansas (PO Box 175, Emporia, KS 66801 or at 620-342-2134).
