Palatka friends will note with regret the death of Ernest Elliott Oliphant (1903-1949), who passed away suddenly in Baltimore last Thursday. Funeral services and interment were held there Saturday afternoon.
The deceased, age 45, was a nephew and namesake of E. W. Elliott, prominent Palatkan, and for a time made his home here with the Elliotts, and since returning to Baltimore had made them numerous visits. (Palatka Times-Herald Obituary dtd Friday, 1 Sep 1949.)
