Robert arrived in Vietnam 30 April 1968 and was assigned to Headquarters Company, Headquarters Battalion, 1st Marine Division.
Robert died when the airplane he was in crashed and burned.
Survived by his wife, Dolores M Carney and their 2 sons of California and his parents, Jay "D" and Jennie M Carney Sr of Akron, Ohio.
