She was born February 8th, 1910 in Ste. Genevieve, the daughter of Joseph and Briget (Kiefer) Lurk who preceded in death.
She married Melvin L. Guyot on May 22nd, 1932. He preceded in death.
She is survived by one son: Roger L. Guyot of Perryville and one daughter: Beverly J. Pinet of Excelsior Springs.
One sister also survives: Leona Schindler of Perryville.
One brother and one sister also preceded in death.
She was employed at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal office in Perryville.
She was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, past president of Ladies of Charity, volunteer with the American Red Cross bloodmobile, former tour guide at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal at St. Marys of the Barrens and was very active in Boy and Girl Scouting.
Visitation this (Monday) afternoon and evening from 4-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 6:30-9:30 a.m. at the Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. Parish wake this (Monday) evening at 7.
A funeral mass for 89-year-old Clara W. Guyot of Perryville will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. Burial in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. The Rev. Francis Agnew, C.M., will officiate.
Memorials may be made to masses, St. Vincent De Paul Church or to the American Red Cross.
