Frederick Beryl Cort, 86, of Dupo, Ill., born, June 25, 1928 in Williamsville, MO., died, Friday, May 8, 2015 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Ill.

Fred was a retired electrician from Illinois Power. He was a member of American legion Post 485 in Dupo, Ill., was a board member for the Daugherty public library in Dupo, Ill., for many years, was one of the founding members of the Columbia Sportsman's Club and was a United States Navy Veteran of the Korean War.

Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Doris L. Cort, who passed away April 5, 2015, his parents, Robert and Sylvia, nee Prosise, Cort, his sisters, Louise Dupatz and Betty Decker, his brother, Henry Cort and his niece, Lois Yonker.

Fred is survived by his daughter, Leslie (David) Hartlieb, his son, Bryan (Karen) Cort, his grandsons, Ryan and Nicholas Cort, his granddaughter, Lauren Hartlieb, his sisters, Aleene Godare, Luella Kent and Shirley Mallett, his sister-in-law, Betty McCabe. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be made to the Daugherty Public Library in Dupo, Ill.

Visitation will be Friday, May 15, 2015 from 10 - 11 a.m. at Dashner-Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, IL

Service will be Friday, May 15, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Father George Mauck.

Burial of cremains for Fred and Doris will be in Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Columbia, IL Friday, May 15, 2015 following the service.
