John K. Hogg, 92, of Millersville, went Home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at Village Vista Manor, Lancaster, PA.
Born May 13, 1916, in Kirkwood, PA, he was the son of the late A. Earl and Kathryn (Simmons) Hogg. He was married to Laura (Bunney) Hogg on September 19, 1949 in the Nicetown Baptist Church in Philadelphia.
A Veteran of WWII, John proudly served with the U.S. Army. Mr. Hogg attended the Church of the Nazarene in Lancaster.
He retired from Hamilton Technology in Lancaster after 20 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Laura, of Millersville; five sons, John K. Hogg, Jr., husband of Ann, of Avis, PA, William E. Hogg, husband of Kimberly, of Kennesaw, GA, Kenneth D. Hogg, of Lancaster, Leslie F. Hogg, husband of Cheryl, of Lancaster, Richard A. Hogg, husband of Jenny Gomez, of Lancaster; a daughter, Carol D., wife of Edward Lindsey Sampson, of Sylva, NC; 14 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a brother, William H. Hogg, of Quarryville.
Funeral Services will be held at the Andrew T. Scheid Funeral Home, 320 Blue Rock Road, Route 999, Millersville, PA, (717)-872-2266 on Monday, December 1, 2008 at 2 PM with Pastor Mark K. Justice officiating. Interment will be in the Union Cemetery, Kirkwood, PA. Friends may view at Scheid's on Monday between 1 and 2 PM. Please omit flowers.
