Edward I. Mummaw, 86, of Millersville, died Monday morning at the Essa Flory Hospice Center. He was the husband of the late Betty Blevins Mummaw who preceded him in death in 1998. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late James and Anna Mae Ames Mummaw. Ed retired as an operator at the Columbia Water Works and the Lancaster Sewage Treatment Plant. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the US Navy in the Pacific Theatre of Operations.

He enjoyed card games and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his daughter, Carol A. wife of Miles A. Suydam, Jr., Lancaster; 2 grandchildren, Tracey A. wife of Hugh Hudock and Miles A. Suydam, III and his fiancée Charlene Gantz; 7 great grandchildren, Keanu, Chloe, Donovan, Owen, Gavin, Miles, and Kaiden. The last of his family, he was preceded in death by his siblings, John, Samuel, James, Arthur, Harry, Mary Scantling, Anna Fry, Henrietta Dommel, Sarah Showalter, Grace DeMora, and Clara Christy.

Funeral services will be held at the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc., 247 Main St., Landisville, PA on Saturday at 11:00AM. Interment in Conestoga Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday one hour prior to the service. Kindly omit flowers.
