Grace A. Quigley, 48, of Dakota Dunes, S.D. died Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at her residence due to complications from ALS. She had a gentle spirit and beautiful smile. Her courageous battle with ALS was inspiring to all who knew her. We are grateful and blessed that we had her in our life.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Grand Hotel in Cape May, N.J. Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday. Thereafter, a eulogy will be given by Frank, and, in honor of her wish, a celebration of her life will follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Grace was born Sept. 5, 1958, in Gloucester, Mass., the daughter of Anthony and Rosalie (Curcuru) Genovese. She graduated from Lower Cape May (N.J.) Regional High School in 1976 and attended one year of college.

She married Frank Quigley on Aug. 5, 1978, in Cape May, N.J. She grew up in North Cape May, N.J. She raised her family in Egg Harbor Township, N.J. The couple moved to Baton Rouge, La. in 2003 and most recently lived in Dakota Dunes since January 2007.

She enjoyed Hobie Cat racing and sailing. She also liked gardening, but she mostly loved taking care of her family and dedicated her life to doing just that.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Frank Quigley of Dakota Dunes; two daughters, Andrea Quigley of Cape May, N.J., and Nicole Quigley of New Jersey; her parents, Anthony and Rosalie Genovese of Cape May; three brothers and their wives, Mark and Dawna Genovese of North Cape May, Joe and Mary of Farmingdale, N.J., and Anthony and Kim of Ellicot City, N.J.; a sister and her husband, Angela and Dennis of Dennis Township, N.J.; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; her mother-in-law, Patricia D'Eustachio of Hainesport, N.J.; two sisters-in-law and their husbands, Kathleen and Michael Loftus of Jacksonville, N.J., and Colleen and Joseph Reader of Hainesport, N.J.; and a brother-in-law and his wife, William and Deanna O'Keefe of Stratford, N.J.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to MDA - ALS Research, 4120 S. Elmwood Place, Sioux Falls, S.D.57105, phone, (605) 339-2728 (collect calls accepted).
