HURST, Andrea L. 46 of Centerville, Ohio went home to The Lord, Sunday, April 19, 2015. A loving wife, mother, and daughter she is survived by her husband of 20 years, Jim Hurst; son, Colin Hurst; daughter, Brianna Hurst; her parents Larry and Doris Fritts of Bellbrook, Ohio. Andrea was a kindergarten teacher at Southdale Elementary in Kettering, Ohio where she displayed her true passion for education and getting her "little guys" started in that process. Always wanting to excel, Andrea was a National Honor Society member and graduate of Dayton Christian High School. She was on the Dean's list and earned her B.S. at Wright State University. At an early age Andrea devoted her life to The Lord while attending Emmanuel Baptist Church of Dayton and was a current member of Emmanuel Baptist Church of Bellbrook. She was a "Volunteer" at heart, two times Worthy Advisor in the Order of Rainbow and had been involved with the AWANA Ministries. Andrea is also survived by her lifelong friend Gina McConnell-Madrid; mother-in-law, Marcia Hurst; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and her Southdale family. Visitation will be Thursday, April 23rd, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Tobias Funeral Home, 5471 Far Hills Ave, Dayton. Funeral services will be Friday, April 24th, at the funeral home beginning at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Bellbrook Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Hospice of Dayton.
