Anita L. McNichol, 85, of Pillmore Drive, Rome, New York, passed away, Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at her residence with her loving family by her side.
She was born March 8, 1928, in Churubusco, New York, the daughter of John and Lydia Patnode Robare.
Anita was educated in Ellenburg, New York.
On August 28, 1954, she married James (Jim) McNichol in Oneida.
Anita was employed by Oneida Limited and the Beeches of Rome for several years.
She was a devoted member of St. Joseph's Church, Lee Center and it's Women's Club.
The love of Anita's life was her family, especially the boys and her grandchildren.
Surviving are her loving husband, James; four sons and daughters-in-law, James and Anita , Westmoreland, Randal and Denise, Huntsville, Alabama, Perry and Louanne, Rome, Daniel and Shelly, Clinton; and eleven grandchildren, Laura, Katie, Alexandra, James, Mason, Ryan, Christopher, Jonathan, Ashley, Chase and Sean Patrick.
She was predeceased by a son, Michael, who died on February 22, 1999.
Services: Funeral services will be held Saturday 9:00AM at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc., 418 N. George Street, Rome and 10:00AM at St. Joseph's Church, Lee Center, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. James Tormey.
Interment Evergreen Cemetery, Town of Lee.
