Last Saturday afternoon the body of what appeared to be a newly born child was found in the lower end of town near where the Wenatchee Valley & Northern Railway line crosses that of the Great Northern. The body was wrapped in cheesecloth and had been dead for probably two weeks. Dr. Judah who was called in on the case told an Echo reporter that he believed the child was at least two weeks old at the time of death. The coroner was called from Wenatchee and took charge of the remains. An investigation is being made.
