James Robert Buford Sr.,was born December 1,1908,in Danville Illto William and Sylvia scott Buford.A life resident of Daville,His hobbies were gardening,fishing and he was an avid Cubs fan.He was retired from the city of Danville Sanitation Department.He was a member and one of the foundersof the Philadelphia Baptist Church,of which he was the chairman of the Deacon Board.He also was a member of the AFL-CIO Local 1196 of which he was the oldest living member.He was married January 29th 1940 in Chrisman.Illinois,to Naomie Ellen Hill.James leaves to cherish his memory three sons James Robert,David Lee Buford,Bobby buford, and four daughter's,Trudy Jones,Alyce Crawford,Rebecca buford-Cunningham and Patricia Buford.
