Eva D. Gagnon, 83, Minot, died Monday, September 15, 2003, at a Minot hospital.

She was born January 2, 1920, in Pawtucket, RI, the daughter of George N. and Laura M. (Dion) Lafond. She was reared and educated in Pawtucket.

Eva married Ernest L. Gagnon on September 2, 1939, in Pawtucket. The couple made their home in Pawtucket where they raised their three sons. Eva was a devoted mother and wife. Ernest died in 1988. In her senior years, Eva moved to Minot to be near her youngest son, Russell and she lived at Henry Towers where she established many friends.

Eva was a former member of Our Lady of Consolation Church in Pawtucket.

Survivors: Robert (Deborah) Gagnon, Corpus Christi, TX, Ronald (Ginny) Gagnon, Kent, WA, Russell (Pat) Gagnon, Minot; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Leo (Anita) Lafond, South Attleboro, MA; sister, Yvonne (Edward) Izzo; several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest, brothers, Roland and Philip and sister, Aura Blanchette.

Memorial Service: Thursday, September 18, 2003, at 2 p.m. at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel, Minot.

Visitation: Friends may sign a register book on Thursday, September 18, 2003, today from 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Burial of cremains will take place at a later date at the Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
