My beloved mother known as "Nanny" to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mom was born and raised in Patterson NJ until meeting my dad at Dobbins Airforce Base in Marietta Ga. Two weeks later he was knocking on her door in Patterson..love at first site.
Dad and Mom moved to Cartersville Ga. in 1969 to be with dad's family. My mother made many friends who loved the "yankee" from the north.
My mom was taken from me 3 yrs after my dad. There is not a day that goes by that I do not want to pick up the phone or run by the house, since I just lived minutes away. My mom also loved her "baby" Daisy. She was such a companion when dad passed. Her "gang" at work known as the "Hot Chicks"(OB/GYN Office) were wonderful to her, they all called her granny and showed so much love. This picture of mom was taken just days before her stroke. She was such a loving mother, and her grandchildren did no wrong!! Mommy was by best friend..........
I miss you mom..Debbie

I want to Thank everyone who has left such beautiful notes and flowers, it is so thoughtful and appricated!
