She married Foy Edwin Boswell on December 15, 1945 in Jacksonville, Texas. They were blessed with two children: Debra Jean Boswell Corpora born on August 21, 1952 and Foy Edwin Boswell, Jr. born on August 17, 1954.
Tootsie resided in Hearne, Texas for 30 years and was a medical technologist at Hearne General Hospital.
On June 2, 1981, Tootsie married the love of her life Arnold Odelle "Sonny" DeBruhl, Jr. in Hearne. She had one stepson, Joseph Theodore DeBruhl.
She was blessed with seven grandchildren: Matthew Samuel Corpora, Cara Elizabeth Corpora, Tray Boswell, Genie Gaylon Boswell Langston, Jason Boswell, Allyson DeBruhl, Mason DeBruhl and one great grandchild that she was so very proud of, Anna Grace Langston.
Tootsie died on Wednesday, January 14, 2004 in Palestine, Texas, in the presence of her son Edwin and in the loving embrace of her daughter Debra. She was 78 years old.
On February 10, 2004, Tootsie was reunited with her beloved husband Sonny who passed away from brain cancer.
Tootsie was such a wonderful and tender human being. Just like her sisters Ethel and Helen, she had a very kind and generous heart.
She was the greatest Aunt that anyone could have and I loved her very much. I will never forget my Aunt Tootsie.
