Ralph LaMartine Downing was a resident of Macomb NY for all but the last two years of his life. He was born at Macomb August 23, 1885, a son of LaMartine and Cynthia Washburn Downing. On May 18, 1910 he married the former Miss Maude Harvey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Harvey. After their marriage they lived at North Gouverneur for two years and then returned to Macomb. He had a farm in Macomb for 39 years. He died at his home.
