Gouverneur, June 16
Howard S. Downing, aged 35 years, a farmer residing for the past seven months in North Gouverneur, died Sunday after a brief illness from Typhoid fever.
Mr. Downing was born in the town of Macomb, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Downing, and had resided in this section all of his life. He is survived by his parents his widow, and four children, and several brothers and sisters.
The funeral was held today from the late home and the body was taken to Pierces Corners, Macomb, for interment.
