She is survived by her son, John Townsend and his wife Connie, as well as her brother, Clyde Dotson Jr. and his wife Clara. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Leslie Townsend Shows and husband, Junior; Jason Townsend and wife, Katie, along with one great grandchild, Noah Townsend. Arlice leaves one person very dear to her heart, her son-in-law, Tommy Griffin. She also leaves her little companion, Inky the cat.

Arlice was a member of First Baptist Church in Winona, and her funeral service was held at the church.

Arlice was a very loving lady with a big heart. She had a deep loyalty for family and friends, and she always tried to help those in need. Everyone knew that Arlice would give away anything she owned if she thought someone else needed it. She was a fun-loving person, and she stayed this way until the day she died.
