Well, what can I say about this
wonderful man! He was loved by
everyone in the family and loved
to have all of us visit him and
Grandmother. He was very witty
and could turn his eyelids inside
out. It scared us to death! He
was a farmer and I went to the
"Place" with him about daylight
every morning. When we arrived,
he would hand me through the door
to Effie Tyler, a black lady who
lived on the "Place". I would
still be asleep and Effie would
put me in the huge feather bed
with her. I will never forget how
warm and safe I felt!
When "Grand" passed away, I was in
the bed with him. He put his hand
on my head and said, "I wonder what
will become of little Bill." It
was the last words he said. I have
too many happy memories of our
times together to relate at one
time so I will change this bio
later. All of the Lowe children
really miss him and look forward
to the day we will all be
together again.
