Margaret Ann Gallagher was born in South Carolina the daughter of John Hogge and Jane E. Miller. Margaret Ann had 6 brothers, James Alfred, Thomas E., William Scott, John Westley, Hugh A.,and Eli McKnight; 5 sisters, Sara Elizabeth, Mary Jane, Eliza Rebecca, Martha Ellen, and Katherine Lydia Hogge. After the birth of Sara Elizabeth in abt. 1845 the family moved to Mississippi. There they were farmers and the other eight children were born. Margaret Ann married Charles E. Gallagher and they moved to central Texas. Charles was a farmer. Margaret Ann died April 25, 1898 and was laid to rest in the Bosqueville Cemetery Mclennan Cty. Texas. Charles E. Gallager would go on to become a minister and later would marry again.
